Once a year, Region Five hands out its own set of awards on top of those handed out by STARFLEET itself. These awards are handed out at our annual Regional Conference whenever possible, and are considered the highest honors that R5 can bestow on the members and chapters of the region.

Members and chapters of the region can be nominated for the various awards via the forms available on this page. Basis for award recommendations must be 750 words or under, and yes, length will be checked! Keep in mind that while you are able to write whatever you wish for your recommendations, your candidate has a much better chance to be selected for an award if the nomination has a solid write-up that goes beyond simple lists of Academy courses taken, things they have done, etc. Remember, the people in the awards committee may not know this person or chapter very well at all - show us why you were impressed by them!

All nominations must be submitted to the Regional Coordinator via email, and must be in a common format (Word, .rtf, .pdf, or text). A PDF of the nomination form is provided for download both below and here; please contact the webmaster if you need it in another format.
